I've been selling copywriting services On Fiverr since 2019. it started with me Selling single sales emails for people And has evolved to the point where I'm Now doing things like writing YouTube Descriptions doing YouTube coaching and Even selling my time Consulting and in That time I've learned a lot about what Makes a successful person on Fiverr and Along the way I've been able to help Thousands of other Fiverr sellers mostly New fiber sellers figure things out with Their own Fiverr Journey so in this Video I'm not only going to give you one Piece of advice that I give myself if I Had to start all over again I'm going to Give you a bunch of different tips that I would probably give myself if I could Go back in time and start all over on Fiverr again so hopefully these tips are Helpful for you the first thing I tell Myself before I started on Fiverr in the First place is have a plan so when I Started years ago now I just started on Fiverr with the hopes of making a couple Hundred extra dollars per month as a Copywriter other than signing up for Fiverr creating a gig and hoping to get Clients I really didn't have a plan I Didn't have a plan for what I wanted Fiverr to become I didn't have a plan For what I would do if I didn't get Orders I didn't have a plan for how I Was going to get orders having all that
Figured out before you start will save You a lot of time and it'll help you Make more money a lot sooner so get a Plan make a plan figure it out and get That going before you start a fiber the Second piece of advice I give myself is To invest in myself a whole lot sooner So you know things like continuing to Develop my skills as a copywriter trying To expand the horizons of what's Possible for me on Fiverr by learning Different skill sets investing in that Type of stuff whether it's through Watching YouTube videos or taking Courses or hiring a mentor very Important and can help you speed up and Honestly broaden the scope of what's Possible when it comes to how much money You can make on the platform by Investing in yourself and leveling up Your skills also when I talk about Investing in myself or investing in Yourself learning more about different Things that might influence your Fiverr Business things like intellectual Property rights rules around copyright Trademarks things like that stuff that You'll inevitably run into as a Fiverr Seller investing in yourself earlier to Get you better prepared to handle those Types of things is super important the Third thing is to invest in the right Tools so I know myself included early on I was getting started with the most
Minimal investment possible I had an Internet connection a computer and a way I went and I know this is how it will go For most of you but if you really want To take Fiverr seriously grow and Constantly level up the amount of money You can make sometimes investing in some Tools to help you get there is going to Be super helpful things like paid Subscription to zoom as an example if You run a business or sell Services Where you need to interact with your Clients I found out early on that Zoom Free accounts cap out the meeting at 40 Minutes so I had all these meetings Ending at 40 minutes mid conversation Very unprofessional also different tools Like accounting software or even hiring An accountant once you're starting on Fiverr and you start making money you're Essentially running a small business so If the country you live in requires you To pay taxes you got to know how to Figure that out if you're not an Accountant yourself that can be Complicated So investing in tools like QuickBooks or Accounting software or the help of a Professional will really help you Streamline your business the fourth Piece of advice is to do more networking And to do more networking a whole lot Earlier in your Fiverr Journey so one One thing that I didn't do that I wish I
Did and you should do is tell your Friends and family that you're on Fiverr I don't know what it was maybe I was shy Or embarrassed that I was you know Running a side Hustle but it's silly if You're starting to sell services on Fiverr and you're taking it seriously Your friends or family could be clients They might need your services or they Might be able to give you advice or Better yet they might be able to give You a referral to a friend of theirs That might need to hire you that could Help kick-start your business and not Only just friends and family but Networking when you meet new people at The bar at the club at the gym wherever When you meet these people let them know What you're doing let them know what Your business is because they might be Able to help you the same way and number Five is to take it slow when I started Out on Fiverr I was so excited to make Extra money I was spending all my time Working on my gigs I would take as many Projects as I could and I really didn't Have any idea of what my bandwidth was And I treated it like a Sprint but the Reality is fiber is not a Sprint it's a Marathon Take It Slow Grow at your own Pace you're gonna learn at your own pace You're gonna get projects at your own Pace your skills are going to develop at Your own pace it's important to not rush
